Songbird

I'm taking advantage of a trip to the U.S. (and access to high-speed Internet) to upload videos of a bird that sings in our garden in Kinshas. He has a variety of melodies that are very musical!

I recorded this on my little digital camera one night. Sorry, the visual is not very interesting - it's what I see out my bedroom door at night: garden lights reflected in the pool. The interest is all in the bird's song: it has melody, rhythm, repeated phrases and variations.. amazing!

Hello.

I am located in Washington State in the USA. I just met Dan and Christine Grings a few weeks ago, missionaries to DROC. They told me about a couple, Lee and Becky Ward, who are working with street kids in Kinshasa. I think that Becky is Dan Grings sister.

Are you connected with them?

Is the GRACE DE DIEU orphanage connected with them?

I have a photo from Christine Grings showing some boys who live in a home for street boys and there are a couple of embassy workers in the picture. You can see it here:

I am interested in helping you as I am helping the Grings family.

I can provide you with free Internet website hosting and I have registered GRACEDEDIEU.ORG for you. I will have it up online today and willbe happy to post your pictures, or you can use it if you like, to post your own web pages.

I am helping Dan and Christine with their website. We just started a couple of weeks ago. You can Google for it.

Hello, Clint, and thank you very, very much for caring about these children. People like you are truly Godsent for there is so much poverty and lawlessness in Kinshasa that there is very little hope for them otherwise.

Thank you for hosting the Grace de Dieu website. I'm sure it will be extremely valuable in many ways for the children.

I just took a look at the Grings website. What an excellent job! Congratulations and thanks.

Dear Odile,

Would you be able to collect and email me some more picture of Grace de Dieu for their website?

I would like to have some more if you can get them. More information about the orphanage would be good.
Anything that will better inform people as to the needs of the children.

I am talking to people within my community who are gifted and skilled in building trades and medicine.

I hope to enourage them to look at the website and consider supporting the kids or perhaps going to Kinshasha as a short term mission to build and repair things.

One prays and talks to them and waits for the Lord to either move their hearts or for Him to lead you to the right one. Surely faithful obedience to His command to seek and pray will result in an answer for the children.

All it takes it the right man with the right heart with the right means. God owns the Earth, its inhabitants and its fullness. He knows where the man is.
